Are you going to be able to help gather ballot signatures this year for the Michigan Child-Parent Relationship Protection Citizen Initiated Ballot Proposal? It reflects the wording of this sessions House Bill
Please respond if you:
1. Believe that we should put together a ballot proposal signature drive in
Michigan or your state to change the state family law to protect the
parent-child relationship in the case of divorce or separation?
2. If so, are you willing to help by recruiting others to gather signatures?
3. Are you willing to gather signatures?
4. Are you willing to contribute funds towards the cost of this effort?
5. What state and county are you willing to be active in?
Ballot will be similar to this bill: http://legislature.mi.gov/doc.aspx?2009-HB-5114

I have been attempting to drum up support for making a run at getting a proposal on the 2010 ballot that essentially is the same as HB 5114. I am calling it the Parent-Child Relationship Protection Proposal and would like to know if you are willing to lead on this effort? If so, at what level state/area/county? How do you think we ought to organize this effort? I am pointing people towards the county NCP groups and the Meetup. Also I would like everyone to consider allowing some judicial discretion in the proposal by letting the judge decide whether by preponderance of evidence should custody be equal or should it be less than equal but not less than 60/40 without clear and convincing evidence that it is the best interest of the child The evidence needs to be that one parent is clearly superior in a super majority of the 12 factors prior to denying a parent at least 40% physical custody. Thoughts?

Many institutions limit access to their online information. Making this information available will be an asset to all. This is a pay for service site not at all related to ACR nor do they provide any support to ACR.
